Let the Holidays Begin! Dress Guide

December is officially here (click for Christmas playlist)!  So far I’m off to a decent start.  I only had to go to two Christmas tree lots to find the perfect tree and managed to find a super cute PINK tree!!  Usually, my tree is squished up to the roof with no room for the star ( a la Clark Griswald) but this year I compromised with my husband and got a “normal” sized tree as long as I could also get a mini pink tree!  I’m still working on decorating it. Hopefully it doesn’t dry up before I find the perfect decorations for it.  I did however, find perfect outfits for the boy’s Santa pictures.  I’m usually more of a Zara/Stella McCartney kids type of mom, but for holidays I prefer a very traditional look.  I love, love, love Florence Eismen for traditional  holiday outfits (everything on Saks.com is 10% off TODAY ONLY).  They are meant to be heirloom pieces and are a little pricey, especially when you have to buy two, so I went to eBay and was lucky enough to score both outfits for less than one at full price. Unfortunately,  my luck ran out when it came down to the shoes.  On picture day, Xavi’s shoes didn’t fit and had to take picture in his socks. Other than that, everything went well, as they usually do any time we take pictures with Laura Gattis ❤️

Now that I’m done with the kid’s photos, I can concentrate on my outfits for a few holiday parties I have coming up.  I bought a few things from Net-A-Porter, Macy’s, J.Crew, Premme, Eloquii and Asos during Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.  Net-A-Porter and Asos definitely have the quickest shipping (and free easy returns).  I’ll be posting pics of my outfits on Instagram within the next few days, but here is a quick guide of some of my favorite holiday party looks.
