Christmas and New Years have come and gone- and so has my attempt to have a dry January. We’ve had some amazingly cold days here in Tampa, so I’ve taken advantage of it by lighting our first fire in our fireplace (🔥=🍷), and we did not burn the house down nor die of carbon monoxide (we didn’t realize we left the chimney vent closed for about 10 minutes) so, I consider it a success! I was also able to finally wear my star beret, sweaters, coats and boots 💗
Thanks to my pregnancy I grew out of most of my size 8 shoes (now I’m an 8.5) and 99% of all my size twelve coats (more to do with cake and no thyroid than babies 🤷🏽♀️) so I took advantage of every single online Black Friday sale I could find- and Asos and Net-a-porter did not disappoint. Net-A-Porter isn’t exactly known for having any plus size fashion but I can usually find a few amazing things in an XL or size 50. When it comes to shopping in high end stores like that, I usually go straight to accessories. Personally, I think accessories can make or break an outfit so I tend to splurge a little more on them. Over accessorize and you can make any designer dress look cheap but just the right amount on a cheap dress can make your entire outfit look like a million bucks. Here are a few of my favorite looks from the last few weeks.
I paired my coat from Asos with white jeans, a Zara Top in XL, gray Nine West Boots I purchased on sale from Nordstrom, my Rag and Bone hat, earrings from BoHo Hunter here in Tampa, FL.
Asos size 14 sweater, size 14 Good American “Good Waist” Jeans, Helene Berman wool beret, leopard print Chuck’s and Building Block bucket bag both from Net-A-Porter.
Madewell leather jacket in XL (I do not recommend this jacket for anyone above a size 14 with a bust larger than 38C), unstainable white shirt in size 16 from Elizabeth & Clarke, Helene Berman beanie, NYDJ in 14, Chloe bag, and Comme de Garcon sneaks.
